Respected again - Part 2

Totally humiliating. After having fruits and vegetables thrown at them as they were pulling out of Syria, American troops are now told to leave Iraq.

“All U.S. forces that withdrew from Syria received approval to enter the Kurdistan Region so that they may be transported outside Iraq. There is no permission granted for these forces to stay inside Iraq,” the Iraqi military said in a statement, according to Reuters.

The statement contradicts the Defense Department's announcement that many of the almost 1,000 departing U.S. troops were slated to go to Iraq to fight ISIS and "help defend Iraq”.

A senior Pentagon official told Reuters that the plans could change.

That was a safe bet.

Smart people saw this coming.

More than 5,000 U.S. troops are already in Iraq, according to the Reuters.

Refugees. I hope they're treated better than we treat the people at our Southern border.

GUILDENSTERN: What a fine persecution---to be kept intrigued without ever quite being enlightened.

PLAYER: Relax. Respond. That's what people do. You can't go through life questioning your situation at every turn.

GUILDENSTERN: But we don't know what's going on, or what to do with ourselves. We don't know how to act.

PLAYER: Act natural. You know why you're here at least.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
