Cracks in the GOP wall - part whatever

I guess Adam wasn't paying attention any of the times Trump told his little story about the snake with the punchline: "You knew I was a snake when you took me in."

Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) on Monday doubled down on his criticism of President Trump's decision to pull U.S. troops from Syria after Trump pledged there would be "strong sanctions" for Turkey.

Kinzinger on Sunday said that troops who were stationed at the Turkey-Syria border would have prevented the advancement of Turkish forces.

“We all know that if there were still those ... soldiers, Turkey wouldn’t attack,” he said in an interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“To see this yet again, leaving an ally behind, abandoning people that we told that we were going to be with is disheartening, depressing, frankly it’s weak,” he added. “I don’t see how it follows through on the president’s biggest promise in the campaign to defeat ISIS, because I think it’s going to resurge.”

PLAYER: Relax. Respond. That's what people do. You can't go through life questioning your situation at every turn.

GUILDENSTERN: But we don't know what's going on, or what to do with ourselves. We don't know how to act.

PLAYER: Act natural. You know why you're here at least.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
