Maguire's testimony - Part 2

Here are the salient points as far as I can tell (or I should say, in my mind):

1) Maguire went to the White House with the complaint to find out whether he should give it to the Intel Committee;
2) He then went to the DOJ to get an opinion;
3) He uses ignorance as a defense way too often.
4) He won't say he agrees that the whistleblower allegations should be investigated.  He made a pretzel of himself on that, and I believe Devin Nunes put him on notice at the outset by telling him twice to be careful what he said.

The big problem for him:  He went to the people who were subjects of the complaint to find out what to do.  I'm pretty done with him.  He made some very bad decisions.  Just the kind of guy Trump was "lucky" to have as an acting director during this crucial time.

Chairman Schiff was good on closing, but he really shouldn't have made that "parody" of Trump's call on opening.  He'll pay for that.  The whole Committee and its investigation will pay for that.*

Here's the complaint as released today.

Excerpts:

What we didn't already know:

There are "approximately a dozen" people who actually heard the phone call.

There was a classified attachment (which is attached with redactions):

The White House tried to bury the phone call transcript:

*UPDATE 4:35:

In fact, Schiff's earlier tweet comparing the call to mob activity was fine, and he should have let that stand.  He went too far this morning at the hearing.
