Trump brag addendum

Previously, on YWA...

I suggested that a Fox News poll that couldn't get higher than 55% approval was not "great news" for himself. (It apparently wasn't a Fox News poll; just one they used to create a graphic.)

And now...

It wasn't even THAT good.

The graphic was crafted from the results of a poll from Georgetown University's Institute of Politics and Public Service. That poll actually depicted Trump’s favorable rating at 43 percent, not the 55 percent shown in the graphic.

The president's unfavorable rating was 55 percent.

LOL. Don't hold your breath waiting for him to correct or delete his tweet.

The poll also found Democrats held a 42 percent to 37 percent advantage over Republicans on the generic ballot for 2020, with another 21 percent undecided.The Fox Business graphic did accurately depict 58 percent approval for Trump’s handling of the economy.In a statement to The Hill, a Fox Business spokesperson said the network corrected the graphic earlier Thursday and said a correction would run on Fox News Channel as well.

Okay, you caught us. They knew they'd be busted. They also knew that once the Asshat in chief tweeted it, it would stick at the higher number in people's minds.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

PLAYER: Act natural. You know why you're here at least.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
