Busted

Actually, it's generous - diplomatic, you could say - that they allow it was "obviously prepared before the meeting," particularly since they say this has happened before, because it could well have just been lies.

I can't find this readout on the State Department's website, or anywhere else.  I did find this:
WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 04th April, 2019) Secretary of State Mike Pompeo raised US concerns over Ankara's purchase of Russia's S-400 defense systems with Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during their meeting in Washington, State Department spokesperson Robert Palladino said in a readout.

"The Secretary also discussed his concerns regarding Turkey's potential acquisition of the Russian S-400 surface-to-air missile system," Palladino said on Wednesday.

  UrduPoint
I don't know if either of those things is the something that wasn't even brought up.

I found this from the Turkish Embassy Twitter account:

Not constructive enough for the State Department to accurately report it, apparently.

And, while I'm at the Turkish Embassy Twitter account:

Does that sound to you like they're saying they don't want to be dealing with the Trump administration?

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
