Erdogan Watched the Show

Perhaps called it forth.

I suppose it's possible that they just pulled up when the altercation began and they couldn't risk letting him out of the car. On the other hand, he could have called it off at any time.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

UPDATE 5/21: There is some analysis that postulates Erdoğan gave the order to attack the protesters.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
