Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud

Sunday:

Interestingly, when I followed the embedded link on Sunday, there was an Arabic Twitter account which I could not read, and another article claimed the Saudis were denying the rumored reports, saying the king is alive and well.

Today, however, following that links returns a page that says "Account suspended."

Hmmmmm.

Here's another Tweet from Sunday that went nowhere:

And yet, today:
Is the Saudi king giving up the throne? According the the Egyptian Television network "El-Nha'r, the Saudi king will announce in the next few days that he is giving up his crown.

Apparently, the king's age is unknown – at least by western media. Another article says he’s 90, not "more than 95."  The short of it is, he's very old, And sick.  Sooner or later, he really will die.
Abdullah's half-brother Salman, 77, is next in line to the throne. He was named crown prince in June 2012 following the death of Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz.
