Congress is where you go to hide
CORRECTION: She IS still an active Congresswoman! At least until the end of the year.
Let me answer your first question: she wasn't currently in Congress.
Now, let me take care of the second thought: there are any number of CURRENT members of Congress who probably SHOULD be housed somewhere for dementia. But then so should our incoming president. Nobody wants to give up the power and the salary. Fuck the country.
And yes, she's from Texas. And 81 years old.

It could be that Trump has just picked up Muskisms from hanging around with him. On the other hand, that post does seem a bit more elaborate with language - as well as being somewhat sophisticated - and cogent - than Trump generally is.

Treat
I hesitate to call this a treat, because it's actually heartbreaking. It didn't seem that way when Merle Haggard sang it. This is much better. Kind of like what Disturbed did with "Sound of Silence."
