Lindsey Graham is still a dick - Next part

Not just a dick, but...

I wouldn't bet on not getting a parking ticket based on hearsay testimony.  The ticket officer might just go check it out.

And, of course you can impeach on hearsay.  That's what an invesitgation turns up.  Hearsay, which must then be checked out.

But other people have better answers to Lindsey...

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

I am all for it.

There's a reason for that.
Len Blavatnik is a Russian oligarch with US and UK citizenship who donated to Sen. Graham’s 2016 presidential campaign. Blavatnik made many of his billions off Russian oil. He is also long-term business partner of Kremlin-linked Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska at RuSal, the aluminum giant in which he is a major investor, as well as Viktor Vekselberg, who is entangled with Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen through his U.S. family office Columbus Nova.

Sen. Graham’s political action committee received a total of $800,000 from Blavatnik via his company, Access Industries. He received $500,000 in May 2015 just before Donald Trump declared and another $300,000 in October 2015, long after it was publicly apparent Graham’s campaign had no traction in the polls.

[...]

Lastly, the report notes that Sen. Graham received illegal campaign donations from a Chinese-American virologist.

The person who arranged the illegal campaign donations scheme was a biotech company CEO named Dr. Jian-Yun Dong aka Dr. John Dong and his wife Dahner Wang. Eventually, Dong was convicted for arranging illegal foreign campaign contributions to Graham and was sentenced to 18 months in jail for that charge. He received an additional 70-month federal jail sentence in his second trial on federal corruption charges, for converting research funds into a lobbying slush fund and a source of funds for real estate improvements.

Sen. Graham helped Dr. Dong obtain earmarks totaling $19.6 million in federal grants from NIH and the military. His wife Wang turned on him, cooperating with prosecutors and leading to the scientist’s conviction and imprisonment.

"Trump is the last hope for white people"

A former New Jersey police chief standing trial for allegedly slamming a black teenager’s head into a door jamb reportedly called President Trump “the last hope for white people” before the 2016 election.

“I’m telling you, you know what, Donald Trump is the last hope for white people, cause Hillary (Clinton) will give it to all the minorities to get a vote,” said Frank Nucera Jr., former chief of Bordentown Township, according to NJ.com’s reporting of a transcript displayed at trial this week. “That’s the truth! I’m telling you.”

Nucera, 62, is charged with a hate crime, deprivation of the suspect’s rights and making false statements to the FBI in connection with the September 2016 arrest of an 18-year-old black man.

Two officers were escorting the handcuffed teenager from a hotel into a police car when Nucera approached the teen from behind and slammed his head into a metal door jamb, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court in New Jersey.

The incident was part of what prosecutors alleged to be a “significant history” of racist behavior in which Nucera referred to African Americans with the n-word, compared them to the Islamic State, said he’d like to shoot them on a firing squad and tried to use police dogs to intimidate them.

Another point negating Nancy Pelosi's arguments against impeachment

Yes, I know she's come around, but her arguments were baloney in the first place, and if this latest whistleblower complaint hadn't happened, she would still be making them.  She needs to be retired.

If they'd moved on impeachment earlier, they could have had that leverage against all the many times Trump cabalists have refused to cooperate to date.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

UPDATE:

Exactly.

What was McConnell's angle?

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) reportedly encouraged President Trump to release the memorandum of his controversial call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Two people familiar with the conversation told The Washington Post that McConnell encouraged the White House to release the reconstituted transcript to reinforce Trump’s claim that nothing improper happened during the conversation, explaining that speculation about the call had escalated too far.

  The Hill
Did he actually think that would help or was he secretly pushing Trump to self-destruct?
McConnell went to the Senate floor earlier this week to praise the White House after it announced it would release the transcript.

“I also want to express my appreciation for President Trump's announcement that the White House will release tomorrow the complete, fully-declassified, and unredacted transcript of [his] phone conversation with President Zelensky,” he said. “I hope this will help to refocus the conversation away from reckless speculation and back toward the facts.”
The facts are damning, as is the transcript - and we didn't even get the whole thing (remember the ellipses?). Did he not know what was in it when he said this? He'll be getting the blame from those Trump supporters who aren't blaming Rudy.

Pence knew.
Vice President Pence urged President Trump not to release a memo detailing his call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

[...]

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Pence fell in line and ultimately supported the report's public release, but privately counseled Trump against the matter when it was first raised.

[...]

Pence argued Thursday that the readout of Trump's call with Zelensky "completely vindicated" the president, whose allies have argued that Trump never sought to tie an investigation into Biden to a concrete promise of U.S. aid during his conversations with Ukrainian officials.

  The Hill
Which is why he advised Trump not to release it?

And when are we going to see the Pence call to Zelensky that Trump mentioned in order to drag Pence into the fire?

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

Your choice of slogans?

Reduced to shouting slogans this morning.

And this:

Is that a threat?

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

The family

Days before his father was inaugurated as president of the United States in 2017, Eric Trump told ABC he would stay out of politics while running the family business.

“Listen, I think it’s important to keep separation of church and state,” he said.

  Vox
Is he saying the business is their religion? Or is he just stupid? Anyway, my point is that he was going to be staying out of politics.

I don't think money is going to be their problem.

Stupid doesn't fall far from the tree.

How does voter ID prevent hacking?

Yeah, that's not the point Natasha is making.  McMaster is probably lawyering up right now.

The dam has burst - part 2

I don't care how they go, as long as they go.  (And what are those 54 Republicans waiting for?)

UPDATE:  Stop the presses!  Amodei says he was misunderstood.

For the record

Since Trump and minions (including spokesliar Stephanie Grisham) are claiming the whistleblower isn't a whistleblower because his/her information is second (or third) hand...

America failing
