Exhibit A:
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
What utter bullshit.Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) joined Hill.TV's "Rising" on Monday, telling hosts Saagar Enjeti and Krystal Ball that the Republican Party would be grappling with the changes brought by President Trump for years to come regardless of the results of Tuesday's election.
Hawley said that the president's 2016 campaign shifted the GOP towards a working-class voter demographic for its base, a change that he indicated would be resisted by some within the party.
"The president really tried to make the Republican Party a working-class party," Hawley said.
The Hill
On what planet?"The president tried to refocus the party on those Americans: on their concerns, on their needs, on their family's security, on their jobs."
You'd have to start by actually trying, first of all."I think we've got a big battle in front of us, whether the president wins or loses tomorrow, we've got a big battle in front of us, Republicans do, to try and make this party truly the party of working-class America," he added.
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
