And so it ends - or begins

First Pennsylvania, then immediately...

If Biden maintains his lead in Georgia, his final electoral vote count will be 306, well above the 270 needed to win the White House.

That also means Biden’s electoral vote count will be identical to the electoral votes that Donald Trump won in 2016.

Trump has repeatedly characterized his 2016 electoral college victory as a “landslide.”

Now is when the worst things can happen.*  Celebrate quickly.

Orange man was golfing when CNN called the election for Joe Biden.  His campaign also scheduled his lawyers for a presser at the same time CNN called the race.  And Trump tweeted out "I won!"  All this leads me to believe someone at CNN (or the AP) gave the Trump campaign a heads up on when they were going to announce.

Keep telling yourself that.  People may forget you said this:
"I shouldn’t joke because you know what? Running against the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics puts pressure on me," Trump said. "Could you imagine if I lose? My whole life, what am I gonna do? I'm gonna say: 'I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics.' I'm not gonna feel so good. Maybe I'll have to leave the country — I don't know."

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

* Eg:
The Trump administration abruptly dumped the leaders of three agencies that oversee the nuclear weapons stockpile, electricity and natural gas regulation, and overseas aid during the past two days, drawing a rebuke from a prominent Republican senator for one of the decisions.

[...]

The White House declined comment on the firings, and declined to say whether there would be more in the wake of the election.

Oh, I think you can take that to the bank. Fauci's going, for sure. Wray at the FBI, and certainly some NSA and DOD people.
The Republican chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee Sen. Jim Inhofe issued a statement criticizing Trump's Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette, who he said "effectively demanded" the resignation of Gordon-Hagerty. (The NNSA is a semi-autonomous agency that is part of the Energy Department.)

Inhofe called Gordon-Hagerty "an exemplary public servant and remarkable leader" and said Brouillette's decision "during this time of uncertainty demonstrates he doesn't know what he's doing in national security matters and shows a complete lack of respect for the semi-autonomous nature of NNSA."
To be continued...

UPDATE:  Lisa E. Gordon-Hagerty, administrator, National Nuclear Security Administration, gone.
