America failing

It's not often that I find myself in the position of overestimating Americans, but I did this time.  I thought more people would have come to their senses.

Even if the final count after mail-in ballots are counted should manage to change these maps, the everlasting shame and the unforgivable reality is that this many Americans believe the deaths of hundreds of thousands more of their fellow citizens, and indeed, the destruction of the planet, is an acceptable price to pay for whatever it is they think they're getting.

This year's Republican voters need a mirror and a window. What do they think they're getting?  Are they voting against equal opportunity for blacks and Mexicans?  Those folks are here already.  They're American citizens, too.  Their numbers are growing.  Are they voting about abortion? They've been trying for that for decades and it's not happening.  Their best chance is now with Kavanaugh and Barrett on the court, but that's already accomplished.  Also, that's NOT being pro-life. It may be pro-birth, but it's not pro-life.  They can't possibly be voting because Republicans in office improve their lives in any way.  It appears they're voting just to tell the world they're angry.  Cutting off their noses to spite their faces.

And every year's right-wing "Christians" need the same.  I know they claim they're pro-life.  They're not - just pro-birth.  And they're certainly not followers of the Christ they proclaim is the example for their lives. Add a New Testament to their mirror and window.
