We have truly slipped into an alternate reality
And it's ridiculous, as well as dangerous.
The sad part is they didn't "make" him. He went along with it, even posting it to his Twitter account!
And we are reminded why we're so glad Biden is not the Dem candidate.
Despicable.
They're going all in on the garbage meme. Some dipshit of a "comedian" at Trump's Madison Square Garden Nazi rally said Puerto Rico was a garbage island, got flak for it, and (other than Trump saying he doesn't know anything about the comedian) rather than try to cover over it, they are going all in.
He did the rally in his little garbage man vest (he must have liked wearing the McDonald's apron a lot).
That's hilarious in its own right, but he didn't drive it. He rode. Like taking a kid in a biiiiiig truck. Woohoo.
Remember this one?
He did the rally in his little garbage man vest (he must have liked wearing the McDonald's apron a lot).
And I don't think this is going to be his best line...
Might remind some women of "when you're a star, you can do whatever you want - grab 'em by the pussy..."
Or this line...
And...whoopsie, Grandpa...you ok?
But wait! That's not all...
The sad part is they didn't "make" him. He went along with it, even posting it to his Twitter account!
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
UPDATE 12:34 pm:
Really?Kamala Harris is distancing herself today from Joe Biden’s “garbage” gaffe amid a very close election race, but the White House is insisting it’s all about the apostrophe.
“Just to clarify, he was not calling Trump supporters garbage,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at the top of Wednesday briefing as the blast radius from Biden’s comment on a campaign Zoom call last night continued to grow and attract scorn from the likes of Donald Trump. “He does not view Trump supporters or anybody who supports Trump as garbage.”

In a call organized by the Hispanic advocacy group Voto Latino, Biden on Tuesday responded to a comic at Trump’s rally who called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.”
[...]
“Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. Well, let me tell you something, I don’t, I don’t know the Puerto Rican that I know, the Puerto Rico where I’m fr -- in my home state of Delaware. They’re good, decent honorable people,” he said.
The president then added: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.”

UPDATE 11/02/2024:
Good lord!
They can't win if they don't cheat
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway. The New York Times reports that Tom Schierkolk, the clerk of Rock River Township in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and his deputy, David LaMere, were relieved of their duties because they wanted to conduct a hand count of ballots before sending them off to the county canvass.
Jonathan Brater, Michigan’s elections director, informed Schierkolk and LaMere that doing an initial hand count of ballots is against state law and he accused the two men of blowing off requests from the Michigan Secretary of State's office to follow proper procedures.
[...]
"Schierkolk is tied to a network of activists who have pushed several baseless theories about corruption in elections and, at times, advocated the hand-counting of ballots, apparently believing that electronic voting machines are insecure," writes the Times. "Donald J. Trump and his allies spread the idea widely after his defeat in 2020, claiming, falsely, that the machines had changed the votes to Joseph R. Biden Jr."

UPDATE 11/03/2024: Again...
Tariffs explained by companies themselves
If MAGA voters don't believe Harris and Dems, will they believe companies themselves?Across the United States, companies that rely on foreign suppliers are preparing to raise prices in response to the massive import tariffs that former president Donald Trump promises if he wins the election Tuesday.
Producers of a range of items, including clothing, footwear, baby products, auto parts and hardware, say they will pass along the cost of the tariffs to their American customers.
The planned price increases next year would come as consumers are beginning to enjoy relief from the highest inflation in four decades and directly contradict Trump’s repeated assurances that foreigners will pay the tariff tab.
“We’re set to raise prices,” Timothy Boyle, chief executive of Columbia Sportswear, said in an interview. “We’re buying stuff today for delivery next fall. So we’re just going to deal with it and we’ll just raise the prices. … It’s going to be very, very difficult to keep products affordable for Americans.”
[...]
“If we get tariffs, we will pass those tariff costs back to the consumer,” Philip Daniele, CEO of AutoZone, said on a recent earnings call. “We’ll generally raise prices ahead of — we know what the tariffs will be — we generally raise prices ahead of that.”
Likewise, Stanley Black & Decker CEO Donald Allan earlier this year told investors his company would probably “have to do some surgical price actions” to offset any new tariffs.

SCOTUS strikes again
Is Alabama next?
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
UPDATE 01:32 pm:
This Court let Alabama’s legislature get away with an unconstitutionally gerrymandered congressional district for two additional years, invoking the Purcell principle that said it was too close to the election to make any changes that time around. But now, they’ll permit Virginia to remove voters within the time period where federal law strictly prohibits it, not just an amorphous doctrine they invoke when it suits them. And, the state could have been working on these checks for the last few years. Whatever this Virginia decision is, it is not grounded in precedent or principle.

But it's not too late to prevent officials from purging voters in Virginia?
What's going on?
Is this more of Trump's billionaire buddies lining Trump's pockets and/or influencing the election?

Trump's planned shadow government leaked
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.Newly leaked video shows one of Donald Trump’s former top administration officials detailing his plans to give the Republican presidential candidate unchecked power to unleash the military on Americans if he wins re-election.
The plan involves creating “shadow” government offices that would create flimsy legal justifications to override objections from military leaders and carry out executive orders, including sending in soldiers against protesters and other perceived enemies, according to a stunning new report from ProPublica.
“We’re trying to build almost a shadow Office of Management and Budget. We’re trying to build a shadow Office of Legal Counsel,” said Russell Vought, who oversaw Trump’s OMB in 2019 and 2020, in a video from 2023.
[...]
During Trump’s first term, lawyers often shot down illegal policy proposals, Vought says in one of the leaked videos. The goal of the “shadow” government is to avoid a repeat of that scenario, he explains.
[...]
In one of Vought’s examples, the White House could classify protesters as insurrectionists and then invoke the Insurrection Act, which allows the president to deploy troops within the U.S.
[...]
Vought is expected to be given another high-level government role in a second Trump administration—perhaps even as White House chief of staff, according to ProPublica.

On the other hand, how many votes can that be, and why, if they are mailed, do they not have a postmark?
