How's our Earth simulation going?

Still spinning out of control I see.

Yesterday George Santos said he wants to make public policy entertaining because as it is, it's boring, and he "cannot bear to watch CSPAN." (Christ, Marj and Boebert have been doing their level best to make it entertaining. What more does he want them to do?)

Today, I think he probably won't have time for CSPAN for a while.
Justice Department prosecutors have charged Rep. George Santos with federal offenses, two sources familiar with the matter tell NBC News, the most significant escalation in a growing pile of investigations that have plagued the first-term lawmaker since before he even took office.

The New York Republican, who faced legal and political pressure to resign from Congress after he admitted to lying about parts of his background, is the subject of multiple investigations into his finances and other issues.

It's unclear what the charges are. CNN reported they were filed under seal and that the New York congressman is expected to appear in federal court as soon as Wednesday. The outlet said federal prosecutors were investigating campaign finance filings, among other things.

Oh, I hope it's something more entertaining than that.

Stay tuned.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

UPDATE 05/10/2023:
Santos, who turned himself into a federal courthouse in New York, has been charged with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives.

Dang. That's a lot of lawbreaking. I guess he's still running to hold his seat in 2024. Unlike Trump, though, I don't think he has much of a chance. Please let me not be wrong!

UPDATE 05/11/2023:

Good luck with that!
