Is Diane having trouble with math? Or: Do they really think they'll raise $1B??
So, yeah. They do think they're going to raise a billion dollars, and Diane's math is very bad.Over the last few days, the GoFundMe campaign to build the border wall along the southern border has raised more than $15.5 million out of the $1 billion goal.

Diane and the Deplorables are going to be really pissed if their money goes to social welfare. But now, Brian Kolfage, the Purple Heart triple amputee veteran who started the campaign may have to return the funds raised throughout the campaign.

According to Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, he's unsure about how the donation would work.
“I think it’s admirable, and I think that the country should respond,” Goodlatte told The New York Post. “Obviously, we can’t let citizens raise money and say, ‘The government will spend my money on this purpose.’”

“Gifts to the United States” are set aside for “general use” by the federal government or “budget needs.”
Devil's in the details. Too bad Kolfage didn't check into the matter before starting the project. But then, like I said. maybe they can buy some border land. One of GoFundMe's terms of services is simple: the funds must go towards intended purpose. If Kolfage turns the money over to the feds and they don't use it to build the wall then he may have to reimburse every donor.
No. He's got some puzzling to do.Brian Kolfage did not immediately respond to Townhall's request for comment.
Did he? Did he really? Then why didn't he know about the little detail in the article above?Kolfage included a section titled "How do you know this is not a scam?" under which he states that he is a "credible and real person." He asked donors to look up his background and pointed to a verified Facebook page and personal website.
He didn’t mention Right Wing News, whose Facebook page was removed by the platform in October. Facebook scrubbed more than 559 pages due to what it called "coordinated inauthentic behavior" that misled users about their mission and activities.
In addition to Right Wing News, Kolfage also oversaw VeteranAF and FreedomDaily, NBC News reported, two now shuttered sites that pushed conspiracy theories like the one claiming Hillary Clinton was hiding a deadly illness in 2016.

PolitiFact has called out Right Wing News for its falsehoods. In November, the site promoted an apocalyptic story that armed Black Panthers took over the streets of Atlanta on Election Day and that an "all-out war" was breaking out. We rated it Pants on Fire.
His effort to crowdfund the border wall has been shared more than 950,000 times and received widespread media attention since its Dec. 16 launch. Donations have surged since Kolfage appeared on Fox News with host Laura Ingraham Dec. 20.

Kolfage told NBC he plans to rely on connections in the White House to make sure the wall is funded, saying "we have a lot of people watching this," which would "serve as a motivating factor not to screw this up."
[...]
On the fundraiser page, he promises contributors that "100 percent of your donations will go to the Trump Wall" and he contacted the White House to "secure a point of contact where all the funds will go upon completion."

Any money raised by the page is set to go to a nonprofit organization in Texas. The organizers of the GoFundMe page says they plan to raise awareness for immigration reform.
