Yeah, Kavanaugh is going to the bench to protect Trump

For his first question, Senator Chris Coons asked Kavanaugh if he stands by his 1998 statement that a president has the right to fire anyone investigating him for a criminal account at will (i.e. without cause).  After some attempt to sidestep the question, his final answer was, "All I can say is that was my opinion in 1998."

Then Coons starts drilling down, citing two incidents indicating he does believe that, and Kavanaugh refuses to give a straight answer denying it.  Coons continues trying, only getting non-denial bullshit.  Other than Kavanaugh saying he never said what he said and is in writings that Coons is quoting from.

Also, people continue to shout out and get ejected.  It's very efficient and rather amusing.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
