Michael Caputo - Part 2

Apparently, Caputo gave a robustly resistant interview to the Senate yesterday.  This morning, he had a totally different experience, out of which he came appropriately somber.

He's interviewed post-Mueller team by a pro-Trump radio here.

He compares the ordeal with oral surgery and then says a better comparison might be colonoscopy.
"It was not fun. [...]  It was very obvious that they saw every time I was on television.  They were quoting me from the media.  I'm quite certain they have my time on WBEN.  They knew everything I'd ever said about this [Russian collusion].  [...]  They know more about what I did in 2016  than I do.  [...]  Emails they showed me were logged in at number 10,012.  These guys have everything.   [...]  Sometimes they would ask me a question, and I would answer it, and they'd say, 'You know, that's actually not what happened.'  They would read back the dates and times of when I had done something, and I'm, like, 'Oh, yeah, I guess you're right.  I forgot that.'  They have chapter and verse on me and everybody else involved in this thing, and if you think that you're gonna pull one over on these guys, you've got another think comin'."
I think that was for you, Donnie.
"I never once felt that I was a target in this, but I thought they might slip me into the realm of subject, which is a witness that has information that they feel might be relevant to someone that they're targeting.  But it didn't seem to go that direction.  I can tell you that some of it got really intense.  It was one assistant US attorney and two FBI agents who were very good at what they do, and the assistant US attorney at times got pretty frightening. Just by his tone and by the tenor of what he was saying.  And a couple of times during the interview it felt like it was tilting in the wrong direction.  But, you know, that's why you have an attorney.  And one time when it felt like it was going the wrong way, Dennis told them to clear the room, and he  coached me, and he said, 'Look,' basically he said, 'Chill out.  Just tell the truth.  Don't get so stressed.'  That kind of counsel is worth a million dollars.   It's worth every penny.  But, gosh guys, it's...it's...I don't ever want to do this again."
You can thank Donnie for your experience, Mike.

Because why?  He's guilty?  He can't tell the truth?

Cop shows on TV are such a great help in times like these.  LOL.
Caputo lived and worked in Russia in the 1990s and later did business with Russian companies, including Gazprom, the Kremlin-controlled energy giant. As a Republican consultant, Caputo worked with Trump adviser Roger Stone and Paul Manafort, the former campaign chairman. He denies any wrongdoing regarding Russia. Caputo is a longtime ally of Stone's, a close associate of Trump who has come under scrutiny in the Russian investigation because of Stone's contacts with WikiLeaks during the campaign.

So, he may not be a target, but if he were, and they weren't ready for him to know it, he wouldn't know it. At any rate, anyone working with Roger Stone and Paul Manafort is not innocent.
Caputo was interviewed behind closed doors on Tuesday as part of the Senate Intelligence committee's investigation. He was also interviewed last year by the House Intelligence Committee.

Following the Senate meeting, Caputo passionately criticized the panel, charging that the probe has cost him $125,000 and is forcing him to move from the Buffalo area in order to pay off legal bills.
Boo-hoo. Swim with sharks, pal.
"Your investigation and others into the allegations of Trump campaign collusion with Russia are costing my family a great deal of money -- more than $125,000 -- and making a visceral impact on my children," Caputo said in a prepared statement that he delivered at the end of the Senate interview, which was provided to CNN.

"Forget about all the death threats against my family. I want to know who cost us so much money, who crushed our kids, who forced us out of our home, all because you lost an election," he added, concluding with, "I want to know because God Damn you to Hell."
Who forced you to work with Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and Donald Trump?

He wasn't complaining about the cost of his attorney after being interviewed by the US attorney.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
