Lucky for Samantha that she won that award, which prompted a news story. People are willing to help her family since the news came out. They've found a rent-subsidized home for them to live in, and Darrell Issa (D-Opportunist) has invited her to the State of the Union Address.Samantha [Garvey] is a senior at Brentwood High School [in New York whose] family fell on hard times when her mother (a nurse's assistant) couldn't work for eight months because of injuries she received in accident. Samantha's dad, a cab driver, couldn't keep up with the bills and they were evicted from their home on New Year's Eve.
