Kill counts and squandered credibility

Pompeo's Sunday show response to Trump's Saturday night tweet is nothing short of mind boggling.

(He also repeated that on This Week ABC and Fox News Sunday.)

And what was Trump's tweet again?

What kind of people would kill so many (12) in order to seemingly srengthen their bargaining position?

Of course, THEY kill innocent people.  (Never mind that American was a soldier.)  We only kill bad guys.

Also...
[The Taliban warned] on Sunday that the snub meant more American lives would be lost.

Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the Taliban’s political office in Doha, where negotiations have been taking place, said an agreement had been “finalised” a few days ago and that both sides agreed the deal would be announced by the Qatari government.

“Everyone was satisfied,” he wrote on Twitter. “At this time, the disappointing President Trump’s tweets have been unbelievable and certainly damaged his credibility.”

The explosion at the checkpoint, which has been targeted in the past, follows a Taliban attack against a foreign compound late Monday that killed at least 16 people and wounded more than 100, almost all of them local civilians.

So it was okay for those "kind of people" to kill 16 because one of them wasn't an American? Trump's reasoning is bullshit.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Afghanistan’s ambassador to the United States, H.E. Roya Rahmani said, “I am wondering if, on the one hand, you are negotiating peace and on the other hand you continue to kill the party that is sitting across from you on the table. How does that work?”
I don't know. Perhaps you should ask Mike Pompeo.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
