Mike Kelly would like to be a GOP poster boy

I'd like to congratulate Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pennsylvania) for completely betraying his ancestors, my ancestors and, as near as I can tell, every Irishman and Irishwoman back to Finn McCool. From VICE:
“You know, they talk about people of color. I'm a person of color. I'm white. I'm an Anglo Saxon. People say things all the time, but I don't get offended,” Pennsylvania GOP Rep. Mike Kelly told VICE News before the blowup over Pelosi’s comments. “‘With a name like Mike Kelly you can’t be from any place else but Ireland.’”
Jaysus, what a fecking omadhaun. The Irish are not Anglo-Saxon, dumbass. They are Celts with a little Scandinavian Viking mixed in.

[...]

I'm not denying that, back in the 1600s, Molar, the First Earl of Biscuspid may have gotten it on with Maureen, the miller's daughter, thereby introducing some A-S into the mix, but the odds are that it wasn't consensual, so I wouldn't brag about it now.

Also, you're not a "person of color" because you're white, either.

These really are the fcking mole people.

And so soon after Kellyanne Conway tried to savage a Jewish reporter by asking him what his ethnicity was and then stating hers is Irish and Italian, unintentionally shaming all Irish and Italian people.
