Schwarzenegger cares about the environment?

Or does he just care about getting back into headlines? Because, from other lawsuits I've read about, it seems quite possible that, since the oil companies haven't killed him or  a member of his family, a judge will rule that he doesn't have standing to sue in this instance.
Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) is planning to sue oil companies, alleging they are "knowingly killing people all over the world."

Schwarzenegger said during an interview with Politico's "Off Message" podcast that he is still working on the timing for his push, but he is now speaking with private law firms.

[...]

“The oil companies knew from 1959 on, they did their own study that there would be global warming happening because of fossil fuels, and on top of it that it would be risky for people’s lives, that it would kill.”

  The Hill
This article calls Schwarzenegger "a global environmental activist", so I've apparently been clicking past any articles about the man, having formed my opinion of him decades past. See what selective reading gets you?
Schwarzenegger accused oil companies of being irresponsible and vowed to go after them.

"It’s absolutely irresponsible to know that your product is killing people and not have a warning label on it, like tobacco,” he said.

“Every gas station on it, every car should have a warning label on it, every product that has fossil fuels should have a warning label on it.”
Was the warning label on tobacco products responsible for the reduction in usage in this country? Or was it the smoking is bad for you ad campaign, the increased tax on cigarettes, and the health kick some years ago? If we had to pay for associated environmental costs with taxes on our gasoline, we might actually start getting somewhere on the issue. But you go on ahead, Arnie. Every little bit helps.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
