Unrest in Russia

Vladimir Putin is set to face the biggest show of opposition yet to his strongman rule with tens of thousands of Russians promising to take to the streets on Saturday in a popular wave of discontent unseen since he came to power 12 years ago.

So all this unrest just came out of the blue. Those Arabs really started something, didn’t they? I’m having a sneaking suspicion that our news people have been lying their asses off for a very long time. And one of those lies was how popular Mr. Putin was. Oh wait, we used to like him when W looked into his eyes and saw a beautiful soul, so the news was different then.

Or more likely, they never bothered to actually investigate. They just looked at Russian news services which raved about Putin’s popularity. And manliness.

Okay, both reasons.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
