I think Mueller laid out the obstruction of justice case quite clearly, but I understand that would have brought in a whole can of worms.
The major problem with not using that as an article is that when the Senate votes against impeachment, Trump will still be left with a talking point that he DIDN'T obstruct justice, because if he had, the Dems would surely have used it as an article.
The articles are expected to be revised in the House Judiciary Committee this week and voted on soon after, which would send them to the floor for a vote on impeachment by the full House, possibly this month. If one or more of the articles pass, the Senate would then hold a trial to consider removing Trump. That would take a vote by at least two thirds of the Senate, most likely some time in January.
