Republicans then tried to disrupt, much as they did in Wednesday's hearing demanding a response to their list of witnesses they want to call. Republican Elise Stefanik interrupted Schiff, asking for a parliamentary inquiry, and when denied, she went on asking for a point of order, which Schiff then allowed. She complained that Democrats were not allowing Republican witnesses or allowing witnesses to answer Republican questions - the same thing she brought up in Wednesday's hearing at the start. Schiff gaveled her out, saying that was not a proper point of order. When others jumped on the case - mainly Jim Jordan - Schiff decided not to let them take over and denied them the opportunity to speak. There was a lot of gavel banging. And there'll be a lot of whinging on Fox. (I wonder why Stefanik is the first to jump in with a complaint both days. It was planned, of course, but why her?)
Also Trump is watching the hearing and nasty-tweeting Ambassador Yovanovitch. Schiff read it out for the record.
No doubt witness intimidation will be a part of the articles.
I'm going to skip Nunes' 45-minutes of time. If I see any interesting comments about it online, I'll post.
UPDATE:
They were trying to avoid it yesterday because the witnesses were men. We'll see what they try to do today with a woman.
