Last night was a disappointment

We've slowed our descent into Hell, but by no means have we stopped it.  It's great that so many women (including Native Americans!) and younger people of color won seats in the House, and that the Dems took control of it.  But, Nancy Pelosi is still running the show there, and it's the Senate where we're still in big trouble.  Republicans actually gained there, and that means Republicans will go on packing the courts at the highest levels, and although the Executive has been endowed with unprecedented powers in the last several years, it's the high courts that can block or enable them.

Huge disappointment that Beto O'Rourke, Andrew Gillam and Stacey Abrams didn't make it to their respective governorships, but not a surprise.  The odds in those states are so bent by Republican ratfucking that getting where they did was Herculean.

Expect a flurry of activity in the next two months.  And if we don't see Roger Stone and Baby Don - at least - indicted in the next week or two, I'm going to assume the Trump cabal has gotten away with a coup.
