** NEWS BULLETIN **

It's all over but the shouting. Oh, wait. Shouting will not be tolerated.

New York's governor (who, by the way is boycotting North Carolina) recently banned pro-BDS businesses from doing business with New York's state agencies, Israel's best friend Hillary Clinton is a few months away from the US presidency, and 16 members of Congress would like to enact a defense bill that includes sanctions on Israeli sanctions proponents.

You can still have your opinion, but you'll be shut out if you let it be known. And consider yourself lucky.  You won't be sent to the gulag.

They hate us for our freedoms, eh?

America needs to take an honest, long look in the mirror. It's a frightening and shameful sight.
On May 25, 2016, Sen. Mark Kirk, (R-IL) and 16 co-sponsors submitted an anti-BDS amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 (S. 2943), allowing state and local governments to withhold business from entities engaged in the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel and “Israeli-controlled territories.”

The “Combatting BDS Act of 2016” is identical to the bill S2531 introduced by Sen. Kirk and 28 cosponsors last February.

[...]

Boycott is [...] a constitutionally protected right and this amendment seeks to curb our First Amendment rights.

[...]

So far, no action has been taken on the amendment nor has it been called or proposed on the floor of the Senate. If it is eventually included in SB 2943 and the bill passes, it is unlikely President Obama would veto the entire defense spending bill because of its inclusion.

And president Hillary? I think we can make a good guess. Apparently BDS has been an effective project. It must be crushed on behalf of Israel whose fascist government is also an effective project for controlling the United States government.

And, while we're on the subject - this business of adding amendments to bills that have nothing to do with the amendment needs to stop.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

UPDATE:  The US has just promised Israel the biggest military aid package in US history.
Rice said that “Israel’s security isn’t a Democratic interest or a Republican interest—it’s an enduring American interest.” At the same time, Rice lashed out at Israel's settlement activity, saying that the only road to “sustainable security for Israel and to dignity and self-determination for the Palestinians is two states for two peoples.”

“Just as we oppose counterproductive Palestinian actions and strongly condemn incitement and violence, settlement activity corrodes the prospects for two states,” she said. “It moves Israel toward a one-state reality.”

Wink, wink.
