It is unclear to whom Trump is referring: Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote memos supportive of ousted FBI Director James Comey’s firing. Trump himself said after the firing that he had made up his mind to fire Comey regardless of Sessions’ and Rosenstein’s arguments.

Who could he be talking about except Robert Mueller? That's who's investigating him. Is he seriously going to propose that we believe Mueller told him to fire Comey? What kind of story is he going to spin? He's diggning himself a grave. There's another shoe to drop here. Presumably someone will stop him before he does it.

...but hey, do what you will anyway.

The New York Times says he's talking about Rosenstein. Of course. That makes sense. What he doesn't say is that he ordered Rosenstein to tell him to fire Comey.
