Oh, Jesus, That'll Work, Sure

President Donald Trump is scheduled to give the keynote speech at a conservative Christian conference on Thursday at the same time former FBI Director James Comey testifies before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

According to an official [Faith & Freedom Coalition] agenda, the luncheon runs from 11:30–1:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Comey is set to testify on Capitol Hill the same day in an open session scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

What a cynical move.

Actually, it might work to keep his followers from watching Comey, and at this point, they're the only ones left who are still supporting him. I don't think he needs to keep them from the testimony, though, because they'll just be sure Comey is lying.

On the other hand, it might be a calculated White House move to keep Trump himself from watching Comey and tweeting!

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
