The Worm Turns

From Dean Baquet, Executive Editor of the New York Times:
[F]rom now on, The Times will use the word “torture” to describe incidents in which we know for sure that interrogators inflicted pain on a prisoner in an effort to get information.

Now that Obama has publicly admitted that "we tortured some folks," it's apparently ok to use the word.

Or at least it should be. I doubt if the NYT executive director can be embarrassed - judging by his reasoning.
