Aftermath of a coup attempt

Senators Ed Markey and Amy Klobuchar were on the TV together this morning and were asked whether they supported efforts to oust or censure Donald Trump.

Markey said he was okay with censure, but that impeachment was "a waste of time" because Trump only has two weeks left.

Klobuchar, on the other hand, gave the right answer: she supports whatever method Congressional members might propose to oust Trump because "he incited an insurrection."

Representative Ilhan Omar is drawing up articles of impeachment, which I would like to believe the House will pass (I don't think they will - I think Nancy Pelosi will even block a vote on it).  It's not a waste of time.  It's necessary for the Congressional record.  They obviously won't have time to take it through hearings and to the Senate.  That's not the most important thing at this point.  After all, you could say the earlier impeachment was a waste of time as the GOP stymied it from the beginning, refusing even to hear certain testimony.

It's the historical record that counts at this point.  The man is an abomination.  America is failing if it can't apply proper remedies to presidential abominations.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
