A desperation cabinet meeting

Trump dismissed the military mission in Syria as "playing with guns." He said the US has much better forms of power.
Trump falsely says "they say" no other president gave away their salary, that he's the only one. Hoover and Kennedy both donated their salaries.
"I get more promotion than any human being that's ever lived," Trump said, dismissing criticism about how a Doral G7 would have served as marketing for his resort.
Trump, in the middle of a monologue about how George Washington was also a businessman while in office, cast baseless aspersions on Obama's post-presidency deal with Netflix. He then mocked the "phony Emoluments Clause," which is in the actual Constitution.

I'm quite sure he's never read the Constitution.

"I haven't had an empty seat at a rally," Trump said, though he has had empty seats at multiple rallies, then said he set an attendance record in Dallas, though he did not.
Trump repeated his lie that Kim Jong Un wouldn't take Obama phone calls, saying he asked Obama if he tried to call, and Obama said no, but: "Actually, he tried, 11 times. But the man on the other side, the gentleman on the other side, did not take his call. Lack of respect."  Trump spoke about Obama with particular disdain today, bashing him over Syria, North Korea, and his Netflix deal.

This is a cabinet meeting????
Trump ranted at length during the Cabinet meeting, bouncing from the G7 to Obama to whistleblowers to "Never Trumpers."
Trump falsely says that American soldiers were originally supposed to be in Syria for only "30 days" and then falsely says it's now been "10 years."
Trump on ISIS prisoners and Syria: "I'm the one that did the capturing. I'm the one that knows more about it than you people or the fake pundits."
Five days after correctly saying this is China's worst year for GDP growth in "27 years," Trump said twice today that it's China's worst year in "57 years." (China's official numbers are not good, but there's no basis for "57 years.")
"We're bringing our soldiers back home," Trump declares, though he is not currently doing that.
Trump on ISIS prisoners in Syria: "We. We. Not Obama. WE captured them." He kept bringing up Obama unprompted. (Many of the prisoners were captured during the Obama era.)

Not only that, but he keeps battling Obama and Hillary Clinton.  Neither one of them is president, or is in any part of government, or running for office.  It's a sickness with him.

Trump continued to reverse the timeline of Schiff's comments at committee, falsely saying Schiff was caught out when Trump released the (rough) transcript after Schiff spoke. Trump released the document a day before Schiff spoke.
Trump refers to the North Carolina special election wins as having "picked up" two seats people didn't think they were going to pick up. Both were Republican seats; the Republican was heavily favored in one of them.
Trump added that there were at least 20,000 people outside the Dallas rally. He previously said it was about 30,000. The Dallas Police Department tells CNN it was in the neighborhood of 5,000.
Trump said there were only "28" US troops in the region the US vacated even though "people said 50." HE said 50, which is what was reported.
"A lot of people are good when they fight with us," Trump said, dismissing the fighting prowess of the Kurds (who lost an estimated 11,000 people fighting ISIS).
Trump concedes that US soldiers will be "sent, initially, to different parts" (he didn't specify what "parts" this time), but that they will "ultimately" be brought home.

Trump also had an interview with Sean Hannity:

Trump continues his attempt to rewrite reality on the Ukraine scandal, saying of his phone call with Zelensky: "Now, they don't talk about that anymore."
Trump and Hannity are attacking the Mueller investigation. Trump promoted the cost of the investigation to "$45" million, up from his previous "$40 million," though it is $32 million, minus the $17 million recouped from Manafort and co.
Trump says the whistleblower's sources might be fictional. He said earlier today that the whistleblower's source might be Adam Schiff. None of this makes any sense.
Trump says he doesn't even want the New York Times in the White House anymore so will probably terminate their customer arrangement, and the Washington Post. He is complaining about their Pulitzer Prizes. He is falsely claiming the Times apologized for its coverage.
Trump talks about Elizabeth Warren using her name."Pocahontas," Hannity interjects. "Pocahontas," Trump agrees.
Trump has begun calling his phone call with Ukraine's president a "letter," over and over.
Trump on Obama: "They could impeach him for the guns for whatever where guns went all over the place and people got killed, Fast and Furious. They could've killed him -- they could've impeached him for many different things." The "they could've killed him" seemed to be a slip.

I wouldn't bet on it.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
