WTF Is Going On?

At 1:00 this afternoon, I quoted a report saying Manafort wouldn't agree to terms for voluntarily offering written testimony and being interviewed by the Judiciary Committee. It's now 8:30pm, and apparently, he's had a change of heart.
The Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday dropped a subpoena to compel Paul Manafort, the former chairman for Donald Trump's presidential campaign, to testify in its Russia probe, unnamed sources said.

Those plans have been scrapped in exchange for his meeting with Senate committee investigators, unnamed sources told Politico.

"Paul Manafort met this morning, by previous agreement, with the bipartisan staff of the Senate intelligence committee and answered their questions fully," Manafort's spokesman, Paul Maloni, said in a statement to CNN.

Manafort also provided documents to the Senate intelligence committee.

Plans are in development for Manafort to meet with another Senate committee.

I guess if you don't cooperate and a subpoena is issued, you take a little more time to think about it.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
