No. Huh-uh. Apology Not Acceptable.

A raft of people at two places should be losing their jobs.
“We sincerely regret the error and took immediate action to apologize, both in the newscast where the mistake occurred, as well as on our website and social media sites,” vice president and general manager [of KTVU-TV in San Francisco] Tom Raponi said in the statement. “Nothing is more important to us than having the highest level of accuracy and integrity, and we are reviewing our procedures to ensure this type of error does not happen again.”

  Raw Story
Im-f%#king-possible. There is no way whoever read this before putting it on air did not know what it was. And the newscaster who actually voiced it?  You twat - oh, I'm sorry, that should be twit. And double shame on the NTSB if someone there did in fact confirm this juvenile stunt.
