How Appropriate

Blumhouse PR chief Josh Raffel has joined the White House Office of American Innovation and will work for Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, an individual with knowledge of the move told TheWrap.

Raffel has been with Blumhouse Productions, the producer of horror hits like “The Purge” and “Insidious,” since 2015.

  The Wrap
Seems like he's already been working at the White House, what with the purging and insidiousness, and the horror show that is the Trump administration.
“We should have excellence in government,” Kushner added. “The government should be run like a great American company. Our hope is that we can achieve successes and efficiencies for our customers, who are the citizens.”
So wrongheaded it's breathtaking. A government is not anything like a private company. It simply can't be run like one.  Citizens are not customers.  They're fucking owners.

And in a very interesting - perhaps creepy - certainly prescient recent podcast, Jeremy Scahill referred to our current state of affairs as something like The Purge movies.
