Nuclear Energy Hope?

According to this article (http://rt.com/news/188332-mox-nuclear-fuel-production/), while every other country with nuclear power plants has closed them and simply holds nuclear waste, Russia has been working on a way to solve the problem, and apparently has managed to build a power plant that uses closed fuel cycle technology and can also use radioactive waste as fuel. It doesn't say what the possible hazards might be, but the plant itself is underground.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
