The leaked Kavanaugh emails

Sen. Cory Booker said that he would defy the rules of the Senate and release confidential documents related to Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to be the next Supreme Court justice.

[...]

“I’m knowingly violating the rules,” said Mr. Booker said, saying that he would accept whatever consequences resulted from his act, including possible expulsion from the Senate. “I’m releasing committee confidential documents.” He cast his action as part of the tradition of civil rights disobedience.

So, this seems to be apart from the leaks already published in the NYT article.  Emails referred to in that article cover Native Hawaiian rights, DOT affirmative action regulations, warrantless surveillance, abortion rights, confirmation of another judge, and campaign finance disclosure.  The NYT says these documents were provided by "an unknown person."
Sen. John Cornyn (R., Texas) said releasing confidential documents would be conduct “unbecoming a senator.”

[...]

Other Democrats joined him in the protest, including Sens. Dick Durbin (D., Ill.), Mazie Hirono (D., Hawaii), Sheldon Whitehouse (R., R.I.) and Richard Blumenthal (D., Conn.) who either said they also planned to release confidential documents or reserved the right do so in the future.
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
