This, I presume, is what Kamala Harris was trying to get Kavanaugh to admit to in her grilling by asking him to agree that the Supreme Court could indeed overrule its own precedent, in what would have been a seeming innocuous admission to my mind. She tried for several minutes to get that agreement from him, and he wouldn't give it. I see now that the issue he was probably trying to avoid was as it pertains to Roe v. Wade. This is some intricate parrying, and I don't know why admitting something as obvious as the idea that the Supreme Court could change its stance over the years would have been problematic. If Harris led from that to Roe, he could then start evading. I'm missing something, because I don't know why she went at this particular point, unless she just wanted him to know she had the email about Roe.
Her whole grilling was rather mysterious.
