Iran shot down American fighter jet UPDATE: **second jet down**
Trump and Hegseth have been puffing their chests and proclaiming America has totally dominated Iran and "obliterated" all their military capabilities. Iran begs to differ.
Thoughts and prayers.
Apparently this is the fourth F-15E to be shot down, but the previous three were due to friendly fire.
Also, Trump and Hegseth don't care. Only insofar as their popularity is concerned, that is.
According to The New York Times, citing anonymous sources familiar with the situation, an Air Force combat plane crashed in the Persian Gulf, and the sole pilot was rescued. The A-10 Warthog attack went down near the Strait of Hormuz around the same time a previously reported F-15 fighter jet over Iran went down.
NBC News reported, soon after, that the A-10 had been involved in the rescue mission of the F-15 crew and after being hit “made it to Kuwaiti air space, where the pilot ejected and the aircraft crashed, the official said. The pilot is safe and the A-10 is down in Kuwait, according to the official.”

Hegseth was stupid for thinking that, and Trump was stupid for believing him.

Also, he says over the next two to three weeks. Just yesterday (wasn't it?) he said, when asked how long until he ends the war, two weeks.

That whole thing was either thrown together in a rush, or they've been planning something behind our backs. There was hardly any media coverage about it, and then all of a sudden, it happened. Prelude to disclosure? Getting their marching orders from the lizard people? No, they're underground. Who's on the moon? I forget. Hopefully someone to give our earthly leaders an ultimatum.
UPDATE 04/03/2026: They weren't planning behind our backs. Media just had other, salacious things to tell us about.
As I've read about it, they're not going to land on the moon. This is a beginning overture to get to that point. I questioned whether we didn't already have the technology, why are we reinventing the rocket launch wheel? I was informed that they claim the plans and blueprints from the earlier moon landing were all destroyed some decades back in a possible data accident. WTF? That seems highly unlikely to me, but, whatever.

It wouldn't surprise me if Trump holds onto her simply because this was reported in the NYT.
And maybe, he's getting rid of all the women.
This one, I think, is quite likely.
I couldn't think why Bondi, though, because she sucks up to him constantly and is a hateful human being.

Pam is scheduled for House Oversight subpoenaed testimony April 14. We'll see if it happens, and if it does, whether she does anything other than she's done before: snipe and snarl.

Well, Bondi won't be having to testify again. Update: Rep. Robert Garcia says, no, she will absolutely still have to testify.

Trump is Vincenzo Pentangeli
Nobody tell Trump. Just because he was there doesn't mean he understood what was happening. He only thought his presence would be enough to intimidate the justices. After a couple of recent rejections from SCOTUS in cases and his public berating of them, I guess he thought they'd get with the program if he showed up in person.On Wednesday, Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend Supreme Court arguments in person. It must have been a brutal morning for him. The justices heard Trump v. Barbara, a challenge to the executive order purporting to strip birthright citizenship from the children of many immigrants—and it quickly shaped up to be a blowout against the administration. Seven justices expressed profound skepticism toward the government’s revisionist history of the 14th Amendment, with most sounding downright hostile toward the pseudo-originalist theory cooked up to legitimize the policy. Only Justices Clarence Thomas and Sanuel Alito asked questions friendly to the administration, and none of their colleagues sounded persuaded by their strained defenses.

Seems kind of fitting that the defense is argued by an Asian American.
Well, that should help.
I expect there are a lot of Republicans who fit this bill. The Supreme Court will not mess with birthright citizenship. They will reconfirm it for the umpteenth time. Can we please put this to rest once and for all?
