BTW, I had to take the cognitive exam after a TGA episode I had some months ago.  It's not that hard.  It's not meant to be hard.  It's meant to test if your brain is functioning.  Trump seems to think it's an IQ test, which proves even an idiot can pass the cognitive test.  The fact that he finds it a difficult test says oodles.

I wish the interviewer had taken him up on that "big, beautiful bet."

I also wish someone or something could put him out of our misery.  I can't bring myself to read the transcript of that interview.  I imagine this clip is representative:

Trump told Time that he loves the “concept” of raising taxes on the wealthy, but he raised concerns about the grave political risk.

“I’d be raising them on [the] wealthy to take care of [the] middle class. And that’s — I love, that. I actually love the concept, but I don’t want it to be used against me politically, because I’ve seen people lose elections for less, especially with the fake news,” Trump told the outlet.

Republicans in Congress are considering upping taxes on the rich, breaking with longstanding party stance.

Asked if a tax increase on the wealthy would help cover the cost of some of his campaign proposals, like eliminating taxes on tipped wages, Trump said he “would not mind personally paying more” but cautioned that “the concept is something that may not be acceptable to the public.”

Trump said Wednesday that a tax increase on millionaires “would be very disruptive, because a lot of the millionaires would leave the country.”

Of course he doesn't love the concept of taxing the rich. Of course he'd mind paying more. Of course the concept would be acceptable to the public. The public cries out for it. Of course they wouldn't leave the country if the rich were taxed more. They might, however, stop funding his campaigns.
