He drones on and on, reading his story from the teleprompters, adding some little remarks from time to time. So, sure, "it's too painful to tell." If he doesn't tell it a second time (and I'll be very surprised if he doesn't tell it at every rally), it's because he knows he probably can't keep the "facts" straight.
