The Second Fall of Rome?

First Venice, now Sicily.
Independence activists marched through the center of the Sicilian capital city of Palermo on Sunday, demanding a referendum of the island's population on the question of leaving the Italian republic. Activists, inspired by the example of the recent informal referendum of Venetians, say that Sicily is being 'robbed' by the Italian state and the European Union.
