The Iran Deal

fter a contentious meeting with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson this week, President Donald Trump instructed a group of trusted White House staffers to make the potential case for withholding certification of Iran at the next 90-day review of the nuclear deal. The goal was to give Trump what he felt the State Department had failed to do: the option to declare that Tehran was not in compliance with the contentious agreement.

Jesus. Is he actually schizophrenic?
The Trump administration has once again kept the Iran deal alive while taking a hard line on the country with a new round of sanctions.

The decision -- the third time the administration has faced a deadline and abided by the accord -- seems to be a new strategy from the White House, apparently resigning itself to sticking with the agreement, but looking for ways to modify it within the current framework or otherwise crack down on Iran.

And during his campaign, he said he was going to rip up the deal.

First no. Then yes. Then Tillerson says no, and Trump agrees.
“This is the president telling the White House that he wants to be in a place to decertify 90 days from now and it’s their job to put him there,” the source said.
Hey, somebody else could talk to him between now and 90 days. He could change his mind 90 times.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
