It does look very much like the Russians came to the meeting at Trump Tower with the intention to lobby for getting the Magnitsky Act rescinded (tied to the "adoption" issue) -at least in part. But, they got their meeting by pretending to (if not acutally having - which they may have) dirt on Hillary. And that's the important piece, which the Trump Cabal would like us to think doesn't matter if they didn't actually get the dirt.
What makes it seem as though they did get their dirt is the changing lies Junior has been telling about the meeting, and the attempt at hiding who all attended and knew about it, especially Rinat Akhmetshin, who was once sued for hacking into the computer system of a Dutch mining firm to steal corporate secrets for a competitor.
At any rate, these same players are all tied to Russian gangsgters. Oh, excuse me - businessmen.
Stick around. I'm sure there'll be an enormous amount of paper trails and both professional and amateur sleuths digging into this sordid affair.
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
