Russia, the Election, and the GOP

Leading Senate Republicans are preparing to launch a coordinated and wide-ranging probe into Russia’s alleged meddling in the U.S. elections and its potential cyberthreats to the military, digging deep into what they view as corrosive interference in the nation’s institutions.

  WaPo
Don't you mean the nation's corrosive institutions?
The fracture could become more prominent after Trump is inaugurated and begins setting foreign policy. He has already indicated that the country should “get along” with Russia since the two nations have many common strategic goals.
Not to mention the two nations could obliterate each other with nukes.

In reality, it would be highly surprising if Russia did not do some meddling in US political affairs. God knows we meddle in theirs (and scores of others).

And, one way the seeming conflict between Trump and the GOP pols who want to investigate Russia could be explained is if the GOP hacked the DNC and/or voting machines and need someone to blame it on.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
