Presidential

On Friday, as he announced Mr. Pence as his choice and prepared to claim the Republican nomination at the party’s convention next week, Mr. Trump still lacked a detailed foreign policy agenda and a deep bench of advisers, appearing instead like a man who had taken his cues about war from Fox News commentators and Twitter users.

  NYT
Well, he probably did.
Since the start of his campaign, Donald Trump has retweeted at least 75 users who follow at least three of the top 50 #WhiteGenocide influencers. Moreover, a majority of these retweeted accounts are themselves followed by more than 100 #WhiteGenocide influencers.

[...]

Trump himself follows just 42 total Twitter accounts, none of which are #WhiteGenocide influencers.

[...]

To repeat what Hope Hicks said, Trump neither checks nor cares that an account like @NeilTurner_ ― which he has retweeted five times ― includes the phrase “#WhiteGenocide is real” in its bio.

What the data shows, however, is that Donald Trump and his campaign have used social media to court support within the white supremacist community, whether intentionally or unintentionally. And it appears to have worked.

For non-Tweeters, "follow" means you've marked the account to forward all of their messages to you.

And this Tweet has the little blue check mark of authenticity, so WTF?

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

P.S. What a great picture. Look at the two Pence women as compared to the Trump Troop. It makes the Pence family looks like Hobbits in Hollywood. Indeed, they are the "little people" in Trump's show.

(But who's the ho on the right? She's going to need a little training in stance and a wardrobe monitor. To be fair, maybe she has to go potty.)
