The Hill Has Moved On

Obama’s Remarks on the Torture Report:
Our intelligence professionals are patriots, and we are safer because of their heroic service and sacrifices.
Safer.
I have consistently supported the declassification of today’s report.
So…John Kerry went rogue when he called up DiFi a few days ago to convince her not to release it?
Today is also a reminder that upholding the values we profess doesn’t make us weaker, it makes us stronger and that the United States of America will remain the greatest force for freedom and human dignity that the world has ever known.
Seriously???
Rather than another reason to refight old arguments, I hope that today’s report can help us leave these techniques where they belong—in the past.
Look forward.

The Hill has taken him up on it.
There is nothing in today's headlines at The Hill's online site about torture. (The Hill, in case you didn't know, according to its Wikipedia entry, is "written for and about the U.S. Congress, with a special focus on business and lobbying, political campaigns and other events on Capitol Hill.") Yesterday, there was one story  Well, not so much a story as a listing of eleven "key findings" from the Senate torture report.
