Ferguson (Updated)

UPDATE:  Not expecting the announcement to be on time, but the "two minute warning" was just given.  (8:13 pm)

Live streaming at Fox2Now.  Live blogging here.

8:14 And three suited men just entered from the back of the room.
8:15 Here comes McCullough - I guess, is who it is.
Extending his "deepest sympathies" to the family of Michael Brown.
Giving an account of the incident and afatermath.

8:17 Telling us how fair and thorough his and other authorities' actions have been.
Thanking Eric Holder.

8:18 Media have made this difficult.
8:19 More about how thorough they've been and how difficult it's been because of conflicting witness statements and some lying.

All of this is him reading from a prepared statement.

8:21 Describing the grand jury procedure and telling us how thorough, conscientious and engaged the jurors were.

8:24  Jurors are the "only people" who have heard all the evidence.
8:25  No indictment

No surprise.  And now he is giving a report of the evidence in the case, including the incidence of Michael Brown taking cigars from a convenience store.

8:32 Still giving evidence and autopsy report, and witness statements.  "Most" of the witnesses said Brown was moving toward Wilson while Wilson was shooting.  "Some" of the witnesses said Brown was charging Wilson.

I'm guessing those "some" were Wilson and his girlfriend.  Grand jury witnesses don't have to be eye witnesses.

8:39 Calls this a tragic incident.  Urges everyone to continue demonstrations, discussions, in a constructive way.  Now taking questions.

8:44 Unfortunate choice of words, to say the least, while talking about how much the jurors gave up to work on the case, "they gave up their lives."

Video clip of Brown's mother reacting to the announcement.

8:48 Question asked of him what would he say to those who think this was stacked (6 white jurors, 3 black; McCullough's pro-police reputation).

Interestingly, I see only one person who might be black in the room.  Oh, there's three more in the back.

8:54 One witness didn't make a statement.  A couple made statements that weren't presented to the jury.  A couple disappeared, and FBI could not find them.

8:57 Asked what he would say to the Brown family, he says everything was put before the jury, and they will have their loss "for a long time."  No young man should ever be shot by a police officer, and no police officer should be in that position.  He doesn't want to ever be in this position again, either.

8:58 End.

By the way... in case you didn't know....Darren Wilson got married last month.

UPDATE: Turns out Nixon gave his presser, but the announcement by the county prosecutor is scheduled for 8:00 pm. What are they thinking?

Original post:
The Washington Post reported that a decision has been reached, citing unidentified people familiar with the matter.

[St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert] McCullough will hold a press conference at either 4 p.m. or 7 p.m., the person said. Edward Magee, a spokesman for McCulloch, didn’t immediately return an e-mail seeking comment. Barring discovery of additional relevant evidence, McCulloch won’t bring charges or resubmit the case to another grand jury if Wilson isn’t indicted, Magee has said.

  Bloomberg
Considering the fact that they were to give Ferguson schools a 48-hour heads-up, and the fact that Ferguson schools are being closed all this week, (in addition to the riot response preparation) I'd say we probably already know the answer.

So, most likey McCullough's presser is at 4. Forty minutes from now.
