About That Drone

Iran has rebuffed a US request for the return of a surveillance drone which came down in Iranian territory last week and called on Washington to apologise over the incident instead.

US President Barack Obama made the request in a press conference with Nuri al-Maliki, the Iraqi prime minister, at the White House on Monday.

"We have asked for it back. We'll see how the Iranians respond," said Obama

Are you kidding me?

"Came down."

Is this going to be the excuse for attacking Iran?  They won't give back our spy drone that we were illegally flying in their airspace?

We've come a long way since Eisenhower forced some lackey to take responsibility for the spycraft downed in Russia (along with pilot Gary Powers) after being unable to continue to hide the fact that it was actually launched and brought down.   Obama just stands up there and asks for it back. We have earned the right to spy. And the right to have our equipment returned, too.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
